At the top of the Silver Age key issues list, you will find your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, twice. Spidey was introduced with the "Amazing Fantasy" issue #15 at the tail end of 1962, and this mega-key comic is typically at or near the top of the most valuable S.A. comics list. Tailing right behind is "Amazing Spider-Man" #1, published in March of 1963 by Marvel. Climb the collecting ladder with this ASM #1 example graded by top certification service CGC. Although the perimeter of this comic has been taped over as noted on the grading label, it retains sufficient integrity for CGC to give it a score of (2.0). The label notes the names of Spider-Man's creators, Stan Lee and Steve Ditko; and also indicates "1st appearance of J. Jonah Jameson & Chameleon, 1st Fantastic Four crossover, Origin of Spider-Man retold"; and "Off-White to White Pages". With high end examples reaching into the seven figure range, this respectable and affordable book is an easy call.
